Norway has once again topped the United Nations list of best countries to live in for 2010.  The list, compiled by the United Nations Human Development Office, is contained in a massive 236 page report, organized by Director Jeni Klugman and a team of researchers led by Head Researcher Francisco Rodriguez.

The UN used various criteria to come up with its list, including income, health care, average longevity, gender equity, security, poverty and education. Norway did not lead any of the top individual categories but its overall score landed it once again at the top.  The Top 5 places to live are Norway,  Australia New Zealand and the United States.

Where did China land?  China managed 89th place. Compared to the Top countries such as Norway, Australia and the United States--which are described by the report as having "Very High Human Development", China's average income still only amounts to $7,258 per person per year, its average years of schooling is 7.5 years and its life expectancy is 73.5 years.
